We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our organization's database systems. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and integrity of databases while supporting development and business teams with efficient data solutions.

Install, configure, and maintain database systems (SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL as applicable) Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and stored procedures Implement and manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies Ensure database security, including user access controls, encryption, and compliance with data protection policies Perform regular database health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning Manage database migrations, upgrades, and patching with minimal downtime Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and production issues Collaborate with development teams on schema design, query optimization, and data modeling Set up and maintain replication, clustering, and high-availability configurations Document database architecture, processes, and standard operating procedures Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (PowerShell, T-SQL, Shell, etc.)

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field 3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator (adjust based on seniority needed) Strong hands-on experience with SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL (specify as needed) Solid understanding of database architecture, indexing, and query optimization Experience with backup/recovery tools and disaster recovery planning Knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements Familiarity with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, or GCP Cloud SQL) is a plus Experience with high-availability setups (clustering, replication, failover) Scripting skills (T-SQL, PowerShell, Bash) for automation Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
