Common questions

Is this tool really free?
Yes, completely free. No account needed, no usage limits on the free version. Just upload and download.
How many documents can I upload at once?
You can upload up to 50 resumes in a single batch. Each file can be up to 2 MB. For larger batches, sign up for a CoHire account.
Are my documents stored or shared?
No. Your files are processed in the browser and not stored on CoHire's servers. Nothing is retained after you close the page.
What file formats are supported?
PDF, DOC, DOCX and TXT formats are supported. Scanned image-only PDFs may not extract correctly — text-based PDFs work best.
Why some files couldn't be processed?
  1. File size – files larger than 2 MB are automatically skipped.
  2. Unsupported format – only PDF, DOC, DOCX, and TXT are accepted.
  3. Corrupted or unreadable – the document could not be parsed by the extraction engine.
  4. Missing data – the file may not contain valid data points for extraction.
  5. Images - document contains images that could not be processed.
