lead an application engineering team working on enterprise-grade products in the networking and infrastructure domain. The team is responsible for application areas including device management, configuration management, analytics, and the application infrastructure required to run these capabilities. This is a hands-on technical leadership and people management role. You will drive architecture, design, development, and delivery while mentoring the team and ensuring high engineering standards. You will work closely with Product Management, Architecture, QA, Release, and Support teams to deliver scalable, reliable, secure, and production-ready solutions. We are looking for a technical leader with strong experience in enterprise application development, system design, and building high-performing engineering teams, who can remain hands-on in solving complex technical challenges while owning team delivery and growth.

• Lead and manage an application engineering team responsible for device management, configuration management, analytics, and application infrastructure. • Provide hands-on technical leadership in architecture, system design, development, code reviews, and complex problem-solving. • Drive the development of scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable enterprise-grade applications. • Own the technical direction across multiple application areas and ensure consistency in architecture and engineering practices. • Guide the design and development of services for device management, configuration, telemetry, data processing, analytics, and visualization. • Design and develop event-driven and asynchronous systems using Kafka or similar messaging technologies. • Drive the application infrastructure required to deploy, operate, and scale applications in a Kubernetes-based environment. • Establish strong engineering practices around coding standards, code quality, automated testing, performance, observability, security, and maintainability. • Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, QA, Release, and other stakeholders to define requirements, break down complex problems, and ensure predictable delivery.

• Strong hands-on experience in system design, microservices architecture, and high-performance applications. • Strong software development experience with Java and Python, with deep expertise in at least one of these languages. • Strong experience with enterprise Java technologies, including Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and JPA/Hibernate. • Strong understanding of Python-based application development and relevant frameworks. • Strong understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software development best practices. • Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices. • Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems. • Strong understanding of distributed systems, databases, and data-intensive applications. • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and production application deployments. • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills across application and distributed-system layers. • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, KVM, OpenStack, OpenShift, or Nutanix AHV.
